Nghe An - A work accident occurred during the cleaning of a siphon furnace at Song Lam 2 Cement Joint Stock Company factory, killing 3 workers.

On the evening of January 24, informing reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Hoang Quyen - Chairman of the People's Committee of Anh Son district, Nghe An province, said that 3 workers died in a work accident that occurred in Hoi Son commune.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, the work accident occurred on the afternoon of January 24, at the factory of Song Lam 2 Cement Joint Stock Company (Song Lam 2 Cement Factory) in Hoi Son Commune, Anh Son District.

At that time, while workers were cleaning the siphon furnace, pieces of cement stuck to the top of the furnace fell on the workers, causing suffocation and death.

After receiving the information, leaders of Anh Son district and district police were present at the scene to direct rescue work and investigate the cause of the incident.

It is known that at the time of the accident, there were 6 male workers cleaning and maintaining. The accident killed 3 people, the rest escaped.

That same evening, authorities were handling the amount of material that had collapsed from the top of the mine to get the victims out.

The three workers who were injured lived in Phuc Son and Hoa Son communes, Anh Son district.

The cause of the incident is currently being investigated by the police.
