In early March 2025, Mr. Gia Mi Vu's family in Son Vi commune, Meo Vac district (Ha Giang) together with local authorities and the Border Guard of Son Vi station accelerated the construction of a new house.
Mr. Gia Mi Vu is one of the households with difficult circumstances and dilapidated houses that have been supported by the Border Guard of Ha Giang province with 60 million VND to build a new house. "The whole family of 6 living in a dilapidated temporary house is very miserable, supported to build a solid house, now the whole family is at ease," Mr. Pu said emotionally.
By the end of February 2025, Ha Giang province has started construction of over 2,500 houses, of which over 2,220 houses are under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses according to the Prime Minister's Directive. The number of houses completed and put into use is 1,739 houses.

To date, Ha Giang province has mobilized 265.5 billion VND from many different resources to serve the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. However, there are still some difficulties such as lack of water, difficult transportation of materials, and lack of counterpart funds for people.
Mr. Hau A Lenh - Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses, suggested that districts and cities need to allocate maximum support to material procurement, and that during working days and transportation, they need to do a good job of propaganda and mobilization of forces participating in support.
In Bac Kan province, by early February 2025, the whole locality needs to eliminate 4,631 temporary and dilapidated houses, of which 4,083 houses need to be renewed and 548 houses need to be repaired. The estimated resource demand for implementing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses is more than 261 billion VND.

Currently, localities in Bac Kan province are comprehensively reviewing and reviewing resources to carry out the task of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses with the goal of striving to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.
Meanwhile, in Tuyen Quang, the locality strives to eliminate 6,928 temporary and dilapidated houses, of which 4,525 households have built new houses and 2,403 households have renovated houses. The estimated funding needed for support is over 343 billion VND.
In 2024, Tuyen Quang province has supported the renewal of 2,449 more houses for poor households. To date, the whole province has had nearly 2,000 households start construction, build and complete new houses, achieving a progress of over 28%.
