The Ministry of Public Security supports 231 billion VND to help Gia Lai eliminate temporary houses

Gia Lai - The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with the cooperation and contribution of the Ministry of Public Security will help people feel secure and stabilize their lives.

On February 25, in Hrak village, Dakjrang commune, Mang Yang district, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Steering Committee for the Elimination of Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Gia Lai province to organize a ceremony to present the model house, hand over support funds and start the demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

Accordingly, in 2025, the Ministry of Public Security was assigned to preside over and support Gia Lai and Cao Bang provinces in implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

In Gia Lai province, the Ministry of Public Security supported 231 billion VND to join hands to support local Party committees and authorities to care for and help poor households, near-poor households, policy families, people with meritorious services in the revolution to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, helping people "reside in a prosperous life".

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Ministry of Public Security, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung presented 231 billion VND (sponsored and contributed by officers and soldiers of the entire public security force) to support Gia Lai province in implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

The leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the leaders of Gia Lai province also presented a model house to Mr. Dinh Hyon's household (Hrak village) and a symbolic key and a gift from the Minister of Public Security to 10 households subject to the demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses in Dak Djrang commune; held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a house for Mr. Dinh Van Dang's household (Dak Djrang commune).

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Rah Lan Chung - Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Elimination of Temporary and Dilapidated Houses, expressed his deep gratitude to the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security for their attention, support and companionship with Gia Lai province.

Through the review results and listing, Gia Lai province has 8,485 households with revolutionary contributions, poor and near-poor households eligible for support to build new and repair houses. Of which, 6,828 new houses were built and 1,657 houses were repaired with a total cost of 459.3 billion VND.

In addition to the support of some corporations and enterprises inside and outside the province, the Ministry of Public Security plays a core role in saving 5% of regular expenditures in the local budget in 2024, supporting 231 billion VND.

To date, the whole province has started construction and repair of 993 houses, of which 142 houses have been completed.
