On February 9th, Vi Ba and Hai Dang roads leading to Big Mountain (Tuong Ky) and Small Mountain (Tao Phung) in Vung Tau (HCMC) have placed no-car traffic signs.
Vi Ba and Hai Dang roads are quite narrow, winding and follow cliffs leading up high. The two roads often attract many people and tourists to visit on weekends and holidays; attracting a large number of local people to walk and exercise early in the morning and late in the evening. Therefore, restricting car traffic is necessary to ensure safety; avoid causing traffic congestion in the area.
Previously, these two roads were also closed to cars, but only during some peak hours. Now, functional agencies have removed auxiliary signs, leading to the prohibition of all cars from circulating on these 2 roads.

The Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of Vung Tau ward said that previously the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction had organized a working session with the locality, and related units to conduct field surveys, towards agreeing to implement the ban on cars circulating on these 2 roads.
Functional agencies also organize statistics on the number of cars of units stationed in the area; of religious establishments, households, and individuals working here to issue temporary traffic permits on Vi Ba and Hai Dang streets.
To facilitate people and tourists to go up the mountain to travel, admire, and experience, functional agencies are completing procedures to operate electric bus routes to serve on these 2 routes. It is expected that electric bus routes will go into operation before the Lunar New Year 2026.
