As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at around 9:34 p.m. on May 26, at the subsidence point in the middle of National Highway 3B through Hiep Luc village, Kim Lu commune (Na Ri, Bac Kan), a motorbike driver suddenly knocked down a barrier and plunged into a deep hole along the road.
A security camera of a household near the scene recorded the moment the motorbike moved at high speed, not slowing down when approaching the fence, then crashed straight and disappeared in a deep black hole in the median strip.
Upon receiving the news, the authorities of Bac Kan province were present, using specialized cameras to search but encountered many difficulties due to the muddy water in the hole, with a lot of mud, garbage and strong underground flow.
As of the afternoon of May 27, the local authorities have mobilized 5 field pumps to pump some water out of the hole, reducing pressure on the search team.
However, due to the specific terrain, great depth and many factors that hinder the victim's whereabouts have not been determined.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Truong Quang Trong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Kim Lu commune (Na Ri) said that the rescue forces are still actively implementing plans to approach deeper into the hole to verify the victim's location.
On the side of Na Ri district, it has proactively informed the road management unit under the Department of Construction to report to the province to consider supporting specialized forces for search and rescue.
At the same time, they directed the fence, sent functional forces to protect the area where the incident occurred and continued search and rescue plans.
