On June 27, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Truong Quang Trong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Kim Lu Commune (Na Ri, Bac Kan) confirmed that a person and a vehicle had just plunged into a sinkhole.
Initial information, on the evening of May 26, at the subsidence point that appeared since the end of March 2025 on National Highway 3B through Hiep Luc village, a vehicle suddenly lowered the barrier and plunged into a deep hole.
According to the local leader, immediately after receiving the report, the authorities were present at the scene and are still urgently searching for the victim.


As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, from the end of March 2025 to present, in Kim Lu commune (Na Ri, Bac Kan), 7 sinkholes have appeared, directly threatening the lives and property of people in the area.
Of which, the landslide on National Highway 3B is about 7m long and 5m deep, located in the middle of the median strip. However, the hole gradually enlarged, 8.6m long, 8.5m wide, and 8m deep on average. At the bottom of the sinkhole, there is an underground water mach and a 5.3m deep frog's jaw.
Faced with the increasing trend of subsidence, Mr. Nong Quang Nhat - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Kan province signed and issued a decision to declare an emergency situation regarding natural disasters for the above phenomenon.
At the same time, the province also requires the use of soil, stone, and concrete to fill the sinkholes; closely monitor developments in the field; proactively evacuate people when necessary and arrange temporary accommodation and necessary logistics conditions.
