Border Guard and medical staff overcome difficulties
According to the Buon Don Commune Health Station, the locality still has a high rate of poor households, ethnic minorities account for 77.18% and awareness of health care is not uniform.
This situation causes many difficulties for communication and health education. In addition, the nutritional condition and sanitation system have not yet met the actual needs of the people.

In the past two years, infectious diseases have been complicated, especially dengue fever has increased according to the general trend of the whole country. funding for epidemic prevention and control is still limited and does not meet practical requirements.
However, to raise awareness and change the customs of the people - especially ethnic minorities - the commune health team has coordinated with the government and village heads and hamlets to "go to every alley, knock on every door" to propagate and guide how to prevent and control epidemics and ensure public health.

Mr. Do Van Tuyen, an employee of the Buon Don Commune Health Station, shared that I was assigned to go to each house to check the health of the elderly.
Many people live in remote areas, having difficulty traveling, but I always try to complete my mission. In addition to my work responsibility, I hope to help people in difficult areas reduce the burden of treatment costs. Every time I get sick and have to go far to a medical facility is very expensive.
All for the health of the people
Over the years, Buon Don Commune Health Station has become a spiritual support for the majority of local people.
Despite facing many difficulties - lack of human resources, limited facilities, long routes and specific customs and practices - the team of commune health workers still strive day and night to bring medical services closer to the people.

Thanks to that perseverance, people's health has gradually improved: people have been more proactive in going to the doctor, the vaccination rate has been increased, and the number of malnourished children has decreased significantly.
One of the typical examples is Ms. Ho Thi Hong - a staff member specializing in mother and child nutrition at Buon Don Commune Health Station - who is always dedicated and devoted to the health of the community.
During propaganda and training sessions in villages and hamlets, Ms. Hong skillfully integrates knowledge about health care and nutrition for mothers and children.

Thanks to that, women of reproductive age, pregnant women or raising young children have mastered how to care for and ensure nutrition for children, contributing to helping children develop well physically.
According to the Buon Don Commune Health Station, in the coming time, the unit will continue to coordinate with the Buon Don Medical Center and the Commune People's Committee to deploy resources from the National Target Program.
Thereby, promoting communication, raising awareness, attitude and behavior of ethnic minorities in taking care of their own health and improving nutrition for children.
