On May 20, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Vo Ngoc Binh - Secretary of the Party Committee of Bong Son Ward (Gia Lai) - confirmed that a labor accident had just occurred in the area, killing 1 person and injuring 2 others.
According to initial information, at about 5:15 am on the same day, a concrete pumping truck parked in front of house number 6 Bien Cuong (block 4, Bong Son ward) to serve the construction and repair of houses next door.
During the concrete pumping process, the concrete pumping rod suddenly cracked and then broke, hitting many workers working at the scene, causing 3 injuries.
The victims were taken to Bong Son Regional General Hospital for emergency treatment. However, 1 person died.
The deceased victim was a male, about 46 years old, residing in Bong Son ward, a construction worker working at the scene.
Currently, functional agencies are examining the scene and investigating the cause of the accident.
