On the morning of August 10, Standing Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Le Cong Ly chaired a conference to announce the decision of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee on personnel work at the Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones Management Board and the Office of the City People's Committee.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Cong Ly said that the transfer and arrangement of leaders and managers is carried out to meet the requirements and directions of the Central Government, ensuring the number of deputy heads as prescribed; at the same time; continuing to consolidate the leadership and management capacity of agencies and units.
For the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Can Tho City, after arrangement, the leadership structure includes the Head of the Board and 5 Deputy Heads of the Board. In this transfer, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee assigned Mr. Le Thanh Tam - Member of the City Party Committee Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Finance, to hold the position of Head of the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Can Tho City.
Mr. Le Cong Ly - Standing Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee said that the process of working in the financial sector helps Mr. Le Thanh Tam have experience and understanding of investment, which is an important advantage when taking office at the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Can Tho.
The Standing Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee requested that the leadership collective, officials, civil servants, and public employees of the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of the City continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, create conditions for the new Head of the Board to quickly access work, and together with the leadership collective to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
In addition, it is necessary to urgently review and summarize the groups of tasks being implemented, especially difficulties and obstacles related to secondary projects, industrial park infrastructure investment projects and projects that have been prolonged for many years and have not been completely resolved. Issues under authority must be proactively handled; difficult, complex or beyond authority contents need to be promptly reported and asked for opinions to remove them.
Standing Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee proposed that Mr. Le Thanh Tam in his new position, together with the Board's leadership collective, strengthen investment attraction, support businesses, promote the implementation of industrial projects; and at the same time, urgently carry out the handover and reception of personnel, facilities and work, ensuring that the Board's operations are not interrupted.

At the conference announcing the decision on personnel work at the Can Tho City People's Committee Office held in the morning of the same day, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Cong Ly said that the transfer and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh - Deputy Head of the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Can Tho City to hold the position of Deputy Chief of the Can Tho City People's Committee Office is to continue to consolidate the leadership and management team, arrange personnel suitable to their capacity, experience and strengths, contributing to ensuring smooth and effective operation of the apparatus.
According to Mr. Le Cong Ly, in its role as an advisory and general agency directly serving the direction and administration of the City People's Committee, the Office has a large workload and increasingly high handling requirements. Therefore, cadres who are transferred and arranged to the Office of the City People's Committee need to proactively study dossiers and documents, quickly grasp tasks, and not wait or spend much time to catch up with new work.
The Standing Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee requested that leaders of departments, boards and the Office collective create conditions and support new officials to receive assignments; at the same time, each official needs to promote the spirit of responsibility, proactively study legal regulations, strengthen coordination with departments and branches to promptly advise and remove difficulties and obstacles.
In particular, the Office of the City People's Committee needs to proactively classify and clearly identify the focus of advising from now until the end of the year, focusing on tasks related to growth, disbursement of investment capital, science and technology, business development and major goals of the City. For dossiers and submissions directly related to key tasks, priority should be given to handling, ensuring progress and efficiency.
Regarding Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, he requested to quickly approach new tasks, proactively study legal regulations and strengthen coordination with departments and branches in advisory work.
