According to the plan, for public service units in the agricultural and environmental sector, the city proposed to keep the status quo of the Hau Giang High-Tech Agricultural Zone Management Board under the City People's Committee. rename the Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve of Hau Giang province under the City People's Committee to comply with the local government at both levels. Maintain the status quo of the Can Tho City Land Registration Office (due to the arrangement after the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units).
Merge the old-standing Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation of Can Tho City (old) and Soc Trang Province (including the dissolution of 10 clean water factories and a bottled water factory) into the Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation of Can Tho City, expected to be equitized after 2025.
Similarly, the Center for Natural Resources and Environment Monitoring will also be merged between provinces, forming centers under Can Tho City. In the field of science and technology, the Hau Giang Province Center for Information and Application of Science and Technology and the Center for Science, Technology and Innovation Services will be merged into the Can Tho City Center for Application of Science and Technology Progress under the Department of Science and Technology. The Can Tho City Startup and Innovation Center was also reorganized, receiving functions of information, statistics, startups, innovation, etc.
The Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technology Incubator in Can Tho City is kept intact. The Can Tho City Smart Monitoring and Operation Center was established on the basis of merging the Hau Giang Province Smart Urban Monitoring and Operation Center and the Digital Technology Center, taking over the function of Smart Urban Management and Operation and Information Technology, Digital Transformation of the City Startup and Innovation Center.
Can Tho Technical Center for Standards and Quality Measurement is also reorganized into a public service unit under the Department of Science and Technology
