To serve the Can Tho River Culture Festival 2025, the opening ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 27, 2025 at Khai Luong Canal (near the Walking Bridge, Ninh Kieu Wharf), Can Tho City will organize the blocking of vehicles on some routes and arrange parking lots for people and tourists.
According to the plan, from 6:00 p.m. on December 27, 2025, the routes that will temporarily block traffic include: Ngo Gia Tu, Ngo Quyen, Thu Khoa Huan, Tran Quoc Toan and Hai Ba Trung (all in Ninh Kieu ward).
Motorcycle parking lots are located at: Kham Dai (Ngo Gia Tu Street); sidewalk of the Department of Science and Technology (Ly Thuong Kiet Street); sidewalk of Thu Khoa Huan Street; Old Court (Phan Dinh Phung Street); Ngo Quyen - Phan Dinh Phung intersection; park roundabout sidewalk at the foot of Ninh Kieu Bridge and water park sidewalk (Cai Khe Ward).
For cars, parking spots include: Ngo Huu Hanh Street; Nguyen Thai Hoc - Vo Van Tan Street (Ninh Kieu Ward); part of the road from Muong Thanh Hotel to the foot of Ninh Kieu Bridge (Cai Khe Ward).
In addition, the priority parking lot for delegates with "Priority Vehicle" cards is located in the premises of the Can Tho City People's Committee headquarters (No. 2 Hoa Binh Street, Ninh Kieu Ward).
The 2025 Can Tho River Culture Festival with the theme "Can Tho - River Colors" takes place from December 27, 2025 to January 1, 2026 in Ben Ninh Kieu area and some surrounding areas.
The opening ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 27 at Khai Luong canal (Cai Khe ward). In the opening night, there will be a drone show combined with artistic fireworks, creating a unique space for comparison, blending modern technology and traditional cultural values.
Other main activities include the exhibition "Living on the River - Western region in the past and present"; performing acoustic street music; organizing the release of flower lanterns on the river in the Cai Khe canal area.
In addition, there are sports and experiential activities such as sailing races on the Hau River; flyboard performances and the Can Tho City CompositoryXoat Racing Championship in 2025; parade and SUP boat racing in Can Tho City in 2025.
Regarding tourism activities, there are programs to stimulate waterway tourism; organize exhibition spaces, introduce OCOP products, tourism products and culinary promotion activities of localities.
