Can Tho City People's Committee has just issued Official Dispatch No. 5323/UBND-XDĐT requesting relevant agencies, units and localities to deploy notifications of coordinates limiting no-fly zones, restricted-fly zones, and take-off and landing loudspeaker zones for unmanned aircraft and ultralight aircraft in Can Tho.
Accordingly, the People's Committees of Thoi Lai, Truong Long, Truong Long Tay, Thoi An Dong and Dong Thuan communes and wards shall preside over and coordinate with relevant units to notify people about the scope of no-fly zones, flight restrictions and take-off and landing loudspeakers.
These localities also propagate to people not to produce, trade, buy, sell, store or use unmanned aerial vehicles, other aircraft of unknown origin and origin.
According to Official Dispatch No. 358/TD-TM dated September 9, 2026 of Regiment 917, no-fly zones, restricted no-fly zones and take-off and landing loudspeakers are determined by specific coordinate points in Can Tho City and some adjacent localities; including Thoi Lai, Truong Long, Truong Long Tay, Thoi An Dong and Dong Thuan communes and wards.
Can Tho City People's Committee also recommends that people not perform acts that may endanger aviation activities such as controlling flycams, drones flying into no-fly zones, restricted flying; burning straw; shining laser lights, high-powered lighting; flying large kites, kites with lights attached or luminous objects in the Can Tho airport area.
