The Chairman of the People's Committee (UBND) of Can Tho City has just issued an Official Dispatch on directing the strengthening of the management of unlicensed parking lots and parking spots, cases of fee collection, illegal stopping and parking in the city.
Accordingly, the Chairman of Can Tho requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to organize a comprehensive review of parking lots and parking points in the area; specifically classify points that are allowed to operate, do not meet the conditions, operate without a license, and cases of free parking to have appropriate management measures.
For parking lots operating without a license or not ensuring conditions, the locality requests to terminate operations according to regulations, and at the same time guide organizations and individuals to complete procedures before resuming operations.
Localities in Can Tho city must strengthen inspection of price listing, fee collection and document use at parking lots; promptly rectify and handle violations, especially cases of recurrence or intentional non-compliance.
Along with that, it is also necessary to review the needs of parking, land funds and locations where parking lots can be arranged, limiting the formation of spontaneous parking spots, illegal use of roads and sidewalks.
For the Can Tho Department of Construction, it will preside over and coordinate with departments, branches and localities to review the needs, planning and land funds to serve the development of the parking lot system; research solutions to arrange suitable parking spots, especially in the central area, densely populated areas and areas with high vehicle density.
The City Police are assigned to direct the Commune-level Police to strengthen grasping the situation, managing the area, promptly detecting and handling unlicensed parking spots, and cases with signs of legal violations.
A special point in this Official Dispatch is that for organizations and individuals doing business in parking services, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requests strict compliance with regulations on business conditions, business registration, price listing, fee collection and use of documents; establishments that do not meet operating conditions must terminate operations until they complete all procedures according to regulations.
