According to Phu Trach Commune Police, recently many organizations and individuals have appeared advertising the variety of the " Ky Hai Nam" tree that can create agarwood with great economic value. However, the authorities determined that this type of tree had unknown origin and showed signs of smuggling.

Commune police warn that the business activities of "Ki Hai Nam" plants contain many hidden risks, violating regulations on smuggling, trade fraud and plant quarantine; Causing disorder in the area when there is a dispute over benefits; Risk of bringing pathogens and pests to the locality, negatively affecting agricultural production and the ecological environment; Causing ecological imbalance, biodiversity degradation; People are easily scammed when spending money to buy high-priced seeds, then leaving them when the crop is not effective.
In that situation, Phu Trach Commune Police recommends that people do not participate, not buy, sell, plant or store plant varieties of unknown origin, especially the "Ky Hai Nam" tree.
At the same time, the locality requested organizations and unions to increase propaganda, helping people clearly understand the consequences of smuggling and planting uninspected foreign trees to avoid being taken advantage of by scammers.
