In the early morning of August 4, Ninh Hoa Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police) received information from Dai Lanh Commune Police about a leaked oil tanker traveling on National Highway 1 in the South - North direction.
This caused oil to flow on the road section through Dai Lanh commune (old Van Ninh district). This affected area is more than 1km long and about 2m wide, posing a potential risk to traffic safety.
Immediately after receiving the report, Ninh Hoa Traffic Police Station coordinated with Dai Lanh Commune Police, Fire Prevention and Rescue forces and Road Management Department III to urgently arrive at the scene to organize warnings and regulate traffic.
The units spread sand and cleared the incense oil to avoid accidents.
The vehicle involved in the incident was a tanker truck carrying liquid oil (used as a road asphalt) with license plate 51C-797.92 belonging to Duc Thanh Cu Chi Company Limited, driven by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh (49 years old, residing in Ho Chi Minh City).
Ninh Hoa Traffic Police Station is coordinating with relevant units to continue collecting information, clarifying the cause of the incident; at the same time, determining the responsibility of the transport unit in ensuring the technical safety of the vehicle.
