The Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway project (phase 1), belonging to group A project, is over 104km long, with a total investment of 13,800 billion VND. Started in 2023, the project has its starting point connecting with the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway, ending point in Tan Quang commune.
At the project section passing through Tuyen Quang province (old), it is 77km long, worth 8,800 billion VND.
According to the Project Management Board of Construction Investment Project No. 1 of Tuyen Quang province, the project section passing through Tuyen Quang province (old) has now completed site clearance at 100%.
The relocation of basic technical infrastructure has been completed, and some positions of high-voltage power lines are expected to be completed before February 10.
Difficulties in construction materials such as mound soil, rocks and sand have been removed, ensuring stable supply for construction throughout the route.
Currently, the project is implementing 7 construction packages. Among them, 6 construction packages for road and bridge sections are being implemented simultaneously with more than 116 construction teams, over 1,060 equipment and about 1,000 workers.
Many items achieved large volumes such as roadbed K95 reaching over 75%, roadbed K98 reaching over 71%, crushed stone grading of layers reaching from 57% to 62%, asphalt concrete paving reaching nearly 27%.
The bridge items achieved high progress with 100% of drilled piles completed and over 82% of bridge spans have been installed. The total accumulated construction value reached over 60% of the contract value.
As for the project section passing through Ha Giang province (old), PV recorded that at the end of January 2026, the route sections were basically paved and asphalted.
At the construction site, hundreds of workers and machinery and equipment were mobilized to implement the project. In parallel with the roadbed items, bridges and culverts on the route were also synchronously constructed.
According to the report of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project passing through Ha Giang (old) is 27.48km long, with a design speed of 100km/h with 4 lanes.
The starting point at Km0 at the end of Vinh Tuy bridge over the Lo River, belongs to Vinh Tuy commune, the ending point at Km27+480, belongs to Tan Quang commune.
To date, site clearance has reached 100%. Completed 3/3 resettlement areas in Hung An, Quang Minh and Tan Quang communes.
With 3 construction packages, contractors are constructing crushed crushed stone to reinforce cement and asphalt concrete. At the construction site, nearly 750 workers and 373 equipment are mobilized.
The output value to date reached 1,945/2,316 billion VND, reaching 84% of the contract value of construction and installation, main items.
Regarding the project section passing through Ha Giang province (old), Standing Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Tuan requested contractors to mobilize maximum machinery and personnel to construct 3 shifts, 4 crews. Currently is the golden time to construct the remaining items.
In particular, the project strives to complete the goal of exploiting 2 lanes before the Lunar New Year.
