On February 5, the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board said that it had issued a document notifying the continued organization of temporary traffic plans for the North-South Expressway expansion project in the East, La Son - Hoa Lien section.

The continued temporary traffic organization is implemented based on the document of the Vietnam Road Administration on the traffic diversion plan to ensure traffic safety during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and the opinion of the Da Nang City Police, in order to ensure safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic before, during and after the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year as well as the 2026 Spring Festival.
Accordingly, on the La Son - Hoa Lien route, rudimentary vehicles, motorbikes, mopeds, passenger cars with 9 seats or more and trucks with 5 tons or more are prohibited from circulating. The remaining vehicles are allowed to circulate in the time frame from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily, with a maximum speed of 50km/h.
The time to apply the temporary traffic organization plan is from February 7, 2026 to the end of March 31, 2026.
During this time, vehicles prohibited from circulating on the La Son - Hoa Lien route will be diverted in the North - South direction and vice versa along National Highway 1; vehicles moving into Khe Tre commune and vice versa will follow DT14B route.
The Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board requests relevant agencies and units to coordinate in implementing; and at the same time strengthen information and propaganda to help people and vehicles proactively choose appropriate routes, ensuring traffic safety.
Along with that, the Traffic Police force of Da Nang City and Hue City continues to coordinate to guide and remind vehicle drivers not to circulate on sections of roads that are temporarily organizing traffic.
