On January 19, the pair of snake mascots Kim Ty and Ngan Ty at the gate of Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2025 were transported to Nguyen Hue walking street - where the flower street is held and are in the process of installation.
According to the reporter's records, on the same afternoon, the head and body of the pair of snake mascots had been basically installed. Workers were installing the last body and tail of the snake. The bamboo bushes behind the pair of mascots were almost finished.
According to the organizers, the Silver Snake mascot is 25m long and the Metal Snake is 42m long, its entire body curves in 3 intertwined circles, forming a base more than 11m wide, with a height from the body adjacent to the flower base to the top of the head of over 6m.
70% of the materials used to make Kim Ty and Ngan Ty are environmentally friendly. The snake's head and belly are covered with painted pressed bamboo panels. The entire upper back is covered with reflective mica scales, creating a shimmering effect. The total number of scales on the body of Ngan Ty is about 2,700 pieces and Kim Ty is nearly 3,600 pieces, hand-attached, combined with LED lights running along both sides of the belly.
The snake eyes are also a highlight with a diameter of 10cm, painted according to the design. The bamboo bushes behind the pair of Ngan Ty - Kim Ty are also environmentally friendly works, with bamboo trunks 2.5-12m high, made from bamboo blinds and rattan covered on the outside of a round steel box, painted alternately in light green and ivory yellow. The hollow shape with many holes along the trunk is the light source for the pair of mascots when the flower path is lit.
Regarding the large-scale scene "Spring Drops from the Earth", Mr. Ngo Trung Quoc - the construction unit - said that the rough part is expected to be completed on January 20, then handed over to another unit to continue construction. "Our unit has about 15 people, starting construction on January 13, the workers have been working overtime until 10pm these past days", Mr. Quoc said.
