Information from Road Traffic Police Team No. 15 (CSGT) - Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police, as of 7:00 a.m. this morning (October 10), at Km29 of Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway (towards Hanoi), it was still flooded about 45cm deep, extending 50m. Currently, large trucks and high-chassis vehicles can move through. However, cars could not cross the flooded area.
Also at the above location in the direction from Hanoi to Thai Nguyen, there is a flood of about 20cm, vehicles can move through.
The traffic police force also recommends that, to avoid flooding, cars traveling from Thai Nguyen to Hanoi can follow the route:
Go through Yen Binh overpass (Thai Nguyen) to the red light intersection (Phuong Tre). Here, vehicles have to turn to Xuan Cam bridge (Da Phuc commune, Hanoi) to get to Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway (Bac Phu intersection, Da Phuc commune) and to Soc Son commune (Soc Son town, old Hanoi).
On National Highway 3, at Km28+100 (through Trung Gia commune), the water was about 30 - 35cm deep, making it difficult for vehicles to move. At Km29+500 (Xuan Son, Trung Gia), Km31 (Yamaha company gate) was flooded deeply, vehicles could not pass.
The Hanoi Traffic Police Department will organize traffic flow on affected routes, coordinate with the government and functional forces to support people.
The authorities recommend that drivers reduce speed when passing through flooded areas and follow the instructions of the traffic police.
