On the morning of October 10, the 1st Congress of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, held a solemn session. Attending the congress were former President Truong Tan Sang; Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; Politburo member, Standing member of the 14th National Party Congress Documents Subcommittee Nguyen Van Nen; Party Central Committee Secretary, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, Heroes of Labor; leaders of ministries, branches; leaders of provinces and cities, etc.
The Congress announced the Politburo's decision on appointing 67 people to the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term; Announcing the Politburo's decision to appoint 20 people to the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet was appointed to continue to hold the position of Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
The Congress also announced the Politburo's decision to appoint 4 Deputy Secretaries of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee to continue to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, including:
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Tay Ninh province.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ut - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province.
Mr. Pham Hung Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the 15th tenure of Tay Ninh province.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
The Politburo also announced the decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, as Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet was born in 1972, from Ninh Binh. He has held many positions at the Inspection Committees at all levels, from the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee to the Central Inspection Committee, including a period as Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee.
On February 22, 2025, he was transferred and appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
On June 30, 2025, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the new Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee after the merger, term 2020-2025.
