Binh Khanh Bridge crosses the Soai Rap River, connecting Hiep Phuoc Commune (formerly Nha Be District) with Binh Khanh Commune (formerly Can Gio District), with a total investment of more than VND 2,800 billion. After many years of interruption, the project has now completed most of the main items and is entering the final completion stage to prepare for operation.
Binh Khanh Bridge is one of the two largest cable-stayed bridges on the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway, along with Phuoc Khanh Bridge. The project started in August 2015, 2.76 km long, of which the main bridge is 763 m long. The bridge is designed with a double-decker cable-stayed bridge, an H-shaped tower 135 m high, and a clearance of 55 m - currently the bridge with the largest clearance in Vietnam.
During the construction process, the project has been stalled since the end of 2018 when it had only reached about 70% of the volume, due to problems with ODA capital allocation. In the period of 2019 - 2022, the project was almost "frozen". It was not until the end of 2023, along with the determination to restart the entire Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, that the new Binh Khanh bridge package was officially restarted.

Currently, the bridge has been basically completed. Items such as asphalt pavement, median strip, railings, lighting system, traffic signs and fire prevention and fighting are being urgently completed.
According to the contractor, the load testing and technical inspection have been successfully implemented, the project is eligible for acceptance and handover in the coming time.

Binh Khanh Bridge has a cross-section of more than 20 m wide, including 4 lanes and 2 emergency lanes, designed speed of 80-100 km/h. The modern double-decker cable-stayed structure not only ensures load-bearing capacity, but also creates an aesthetic highlight, demonstrating Vietnam's ability to construct large bridges. The two H-shaped towers are likened to "steel gates" across the Soai Rap River, symbolizing the will to rise of the Southern land.
As a key project, Binh Khanh Bridge plays a key role in connecting the East - Southwest region, shortening the distance from the West to Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast provinces, while expanding urban development space, logistics and tourism for the South Saigon area.

Currently, about 5 km away, Phuoc Khanh Bridge - the remaining cable-stayed bridge of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway is still under construction. When Phuoc Khanh Bridge is completed next year, the entire route of more than 57 km will be connected, contributing to the formation of a modern inter-regional expressway axis, promoting trade and economic development of the Southern region.
