Recently, along the Dai Phu Giang canal through Khuc Thua Du commune, Hai Phong city, violations of environmental sanitation and the corridor of irrigation works have appeared, affecting the aesthetics and lives of people.
In many sections, domestic waste is dumped indiscriminately on embankments, roadsides, and even into canals; some billboards and signs are illegally installed within the protection area of the project.
Faced with the above situation, the People's Committee of Khuc Thua Du commune mobilized police forces, professional staff, mass organizations and villages to simultaneously launch campaigns to inspect and handle violations.
Functional forces directly go to each household along the canal to propagate, mobilize, remind and organize signing commitments not to litter into the environment, not to encroach on the canal corridor.
In parallel with propaganda work, forces are collecting accumulated waste, requesting violating cases to remedy violations; and at the same time dismantling advertising signs and signboards that do not comply with regulations, restoring ventilation to the canal route.
The campaign contributes to improving the environmental landscape, showing the determination of local authorities in restoring order and building a civilized lifestyle.
In the coming time, Khuc Thua Du commune will continue to maintain inspection, rectification, handling of violations, and promote propaganda to raise people's awareness, maintaining the Dai Phu Giang canal green - clean - beautiful.
