On December 22, Son La Provincial Police informed that functional units have coordinated to promptly detect, prevent and destroy more than 2 tons of animal organs of unknown origin, ensuring food safety in the area.

Accordingly, on the evening of December 21, the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes, Smuggling, and Environment - Son La Provincial Police presided over and coordinated with Market Management Team No. 1 (Son La Provincial Market Management Department) to inspect a truck with license plate 26C-070.33 traveling on the Son La - Ninh Binh route, while stopping at National Highway 6 (Group 5, Chieng Sinh Ward).

Through inspection, the authorities discovered 40 pineapple sacks containing animal organs on the vehicle, with a total weight of 2,233 kg, estimated at nearly 50 million VND. All goods do not have labels, invoices, or documents proving their legal origin.

Driver H.D.L (born in 1989), residing in Chieng Sinh ward, Son La province, confessed that the above organs were collected from many floating sources and transported to Ninh Binh province for profit consumption.

The case is currently being further verified and handled by the Son La Provincial Police in accordance with the provisions of law.
