On January 11, Son Cam Ha Commune People's Committee, Da Nang City organized a conference to inform about the situation and results of task implementation in the fields of economy, culture - society, national defense - security in 2025 and deploy key tasks in 2026.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Viet Hau - Chairman of Son Cam Ha Commune People's Committee said that in 2025, for the agricultural sector, the locality has issued notices and guidelines for managing pests and diseases of summer-autumn rice crop and crops; organized preliminary review of crop production in 2025, and implemented the production plan for the Winter-Spring crop 2025 - 2026.
The total annual planting area is estimated at 1,777 ha, reaching 101% of the plan; total grain production reached 5,144 tons, equal to 100.86% of the plan, an increase of 115 tons compared to 2024.
Along with that, Son Cam Ha Commune People's Committee has provided information to serve the development of the Organic Agricultural Production Development Project for the period 2026 - 2030, with orientations to 2035; organized investigations and early detection of pests and diseases on rice, vegetables and key crops such as durian, mangrove, and citrus trees to guide people to take care of and handle them promptly.
The locality also approved the VietGAP construction project and the area code for growing tea trees in Thanh Tan village, linking production according to the value chain on an area of 3 hectares with 15 households from the source of maintaining and upgrading new rural standards. Regarding animal husbandry, the whole commune currently has 17 pig farms built far from residential areas, convenient for water sources.
Training for village militia officials and livestock households on developing safe biological livestock is emphasized, contributing to improving efficiency and sustainability in production. The recent African swine fever outbreak caused damage of about 3 billion VND.
Currently, the locality has allocated 500 million VND to support households with pigs that died from epidemics, and at the same time serve the work of spraying disinfectant and destroying outbreaks. In addition, the locality is promoting propaganda and guiding people to restock safely, focusing on hygiene and disease prevention to stabilize and restore people's lives, gradually shifting and innovating suitable occupations.
Regarding Tet care policies for people, the locality has statistically analyzed policy families and difficult households; when there is support from the Central Government, it will be promptly allocated to each target group. At the same time, the "0 VND Fair" program and "Tet Charity" activities will be organized to support and care for Tet for families in difficult circumstances and hunger in the area.
