Deeply feeling the losses and pain of the people of 9 provinces in the Central - Central Highlands region before the heavy consequences of the historic storms and floods in 2025, implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the Central Public Security Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security have implemented the Quang Trung Campaign with the spirit of being the fastest, most drastic, and most timely, determined to complete the highest goal of 100% of completely newly built collapsed houses, 100% of damaged houses being repaired, ensuring that no people do not have stable housing to welcome Tet.
More than 11,000 turns of People's Police officers and soldiers and security and order protection forces at the grassroots level have been mobilized; 300 Mobile Police officers and soldiers and students of People's Police schools have increased direct support for heavily damaged areas.
As a result, the local police force has presided over the construction of 419 new houses for households whose houses were completely collapsed in many provinces and cities, completing 20 days earlier, exceeding about 30% of the progress compared to the Prime Minister's request. At the same time, 100% of damaged houses, schools, hospitals, and medical facilities have been repaired and overcome before December 20, 2025. In Da Nang city alone, the city police have completed repairs and new houses of 271 out of a total of 505 houses, accounting for more than half of the city's total volume, and at the same time supported many essential items to help people soon stabilize their lives.
In addition, the Ministry of Public Security has supported housing construction costs for localities, mobilized all forces to contribute one day's salary, received and managed donations of more than 124 billion VND; and mobilized socialized resources, coordinated with businesses and philanthropists to support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. More than 900 tons of essential goods, clean water, medical supplies, and medicines have been transported and handed over to people; health teams of the Ministry of Public Security directly support medical examination, treatment, and epidemic prevention in heavily affected localities.
After completing the construction and repair of houses, the grassroots police force continues to accompany the people in stabilizing life, supporting the re-making of personal papers, legal procedures for houses and land, taking care of social security, restoring livelihoods, ensuring that difficult cases are not missed, especially orphans, people losing their jobs, and losing income due to natural disasters.
Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc - Deputy Minister of Public Security - said that after 40 days and nights of rapid deployment, it can be affirmed that the People's Police force has completed and excellently completed, victoriously, the Quang Trung Campaign.
