On the evening of January 28, the fire at house number 166/19 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street (Thang Tam Ward, Vung Tau City) was quickly controlled and extinguished. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
According to local residents, at around 8:00 p.m., a small explosion was suddenly heard in house 166/19, followed by a burning smell and smoke. No one was in the house, so nearby residents quickly reported it to the authorities.
Upon receiving the information, Vung Tau City Electricity Department mobilized staff to cut off the electricity in Cho Moi area; at the same time, the fire department mobilized 6 vehicles to the scene to put out the fire. Because the alley was small, the fire trucks could not enter, so they had to pull the wire from outside to put out the fire.
The ward police force was also mobilized to protect the scene, temporarily divert traffic and guide vehicles to move in other directions, not through the area where the fire occurred.
At the scene, there was a smell of burning plastic spreading around the area where the fire occurred. People living in the alley quickly moved to Nam Ky Khoi Nghia and Xo Viet Nghe Tinh streets.
By around 8:30 p.m., the fire was completely contained, with no casualties. Authorities are currently blocking off the scene to investigate and clarify the cause of the fire, and will handle it according to regulations.
