On April 12, Tan Thoi Hiep Ward Police coordinated with professional units of Ho Chi Minh City Police to blockade and examine the scene of a boarding house fire that killed 2 people.
Initial information, in the early morning of the same day, people living near the alley on Nguyen Thi Thoi street heard shouts and cries for help. When running out to check, many people discovered fierce smoke and fire breaking out from a row of nearby boarding houses.
People mobilized on-site vehicles to put out the fire, and at the same time tried to approach and rescue people but failed due to large flames accompanied by thick smoke, making it difficult to approach.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police force - Ho Chi Minh City Police quickly dispatched vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy firefighting and rescue people.
Functional forces have taken many people out and transferred them to the hospital for emergency treatment. Initial information indicates that the fire killed 2 people and injured 5 others.
