According to Lao Dong's records on the morning of April 12, at apartment building No. 51 Huynh Thuc Khang, all trees have been pruned, cleared, cut down... to create a ground for demolition. According to building security, functional forces have started demolishing the area inside this apartment building.
Real-world records show that many positions of beams and columns show cracks, peeling, and rusty steel core is clearly visible, reflecting the prolonged degradation of the project.
Inside, construction materials, waste, bricks, stones and broken styrofoam pieces are scattered, interspersed with branches that have just been cut down. Some areas still have old furniture left, showing traces of the previous relocation process.

Mr. Ha Phu Binh - Vice Chairman of Lang Ward People's Committee - said that in the past time, leaders and competent units have drastically mobilized people to move out of apartment building 51 Huynh Thuc Khang. Up to now, all 42/42 households have agreed to hand over the land.
Regarding the project progress, Mr. Binh said that the project has been approved by the city. The Ward People's Committee requested the investor to urgently complete the procedures after receiving the site, striving to start construction in July 2026 according to the plan; it is expected to be completed and handed over houses by 2027 for people to return to resettle at 51 Huynh Thuc Khang.
Also according to Mr. Binh, to create consensus, Lang Ward People's Committee has implemented public and transparent regimes and policies; and at the same time strengthened dialogue and explanation to help people understand the policy of renovating old apartment buildings according to current regulations, thereby supporting urban reconstruction in the area.

According to the approved plan, apartment building 51 Huynh Thuc Khang street will be rebuilt with 13 above-ground floors, one technical attic floor and 5 basements, on a land area of about 1,100m2, total floor area of more than 17,000m2.
The project is invested by Bach Khoa Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, which will arrange resettlement for 43 households with a new apartment area of about 1.3 times compared to before. The remaining area is developed into a commercial apartment complex to balance capital for project implementation.
Representatives of the leadership of Bach Khoa Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (Project Investor) said that according to the approved plan, after completing the handover of the site in April 2026, the construction unit will proceed to demolish the entire old project in the next 2 months.
