Long Thanh District: Mid-September, all work must be completed
The Prime Minister has launched a peak competition of “500 days and nights to complete 3,000km of expressway”. Immediately after the launching ceremony on August 18, the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province informed localities with projects to speed up the progress of work.
The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway project has a total length of more than 53km, including 3 component projects, of which component projects 1 and 2 pass through Dong Nai province (34km long) and component project 3 passes through Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (19km long).
To implement this project, Dong Nai province must reclaim about 290 hectares of land in Bien Hoa city, Long Thanh district.
For the Long Thanh district section, up to now, the district has approved and publicized compensation plans for 2,718 cases, reaching a rate of 97.63%. Currently, 9 communes and towns of Long Thanh district have mobilized households to hand over 42.5 hectares of land for component project 1 (reaching 54.39%) and 115.13 hectares of land for component project 2 (reaching 75.95%), bringing the total to 158 hectares/230 hectares of land for the expressway project handed over.
Authorities have also considered granting resettlement to 1,587 cases, of which 1,321 cases have been approved.
The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway construction investment project, phase 1, through Long Thanh district, has a total length of about 28km with a total recovered area of nearly 230 hectares/2,593 land plots/2,784 cases.
Long Thanh district leaders requested that the district's functional branches urgently coordinate with departments and branches of Dong Nai province to completely resolve land issues of organizations and enterprises; urgently approve, pay money, consider granting resettlement for the remaining cases and communes and towns actively mobilize households to hand over the entire site of the expressway project, by September 15, 2024 all work must be completed.
Require contractors to divide the construction work into "3 shifts and 4 teams"
Talking to Lao Dong reporters about the determination to speed up site clearance for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, Mr. Vo Tan Duc - Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee - said that site clearance for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project has basically ensured construction. For Long Thanh district, site clearance has basically cleared the route - ensuring continuous construction. Currently, the flooding situation in Long Phuoc commune has no construction solution.
"We have asked Project Management Board 85 - Ministry of Transport (investor of component project 2) to work in 3 shifts, 4 teams, and divide into many construction teams to speed up the project's progress" - Mr. Vo Tan Duc said.
Also according to Mr. Vo Tan Duc, for Bien Hoa City, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project passing through Tam Phuoc and Phuoc Tan wards has so far cleared about 50% of the land. In the near future, Tam Phuoc ward will clear another 2.7ha of land, then Bien Hoa City will complete over 85% of the land; strive to clear the entire project in September.
Mr. Vo Tan Duc also requested the Dong Nai Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor of component project 1) to work with the contractor to immediately start construction when the site is available.
Regarding the lack of fill soil, which forces contractors to work at a slow pace (according to calculations, more than 5 million m3 of fill soil is needed for the construction process), Mr. Vo Tan Duc said that he is requesting local authorities to quickly find fill soil and filling materials to ensure construction progress after the site is cleared.
