Initial information, at about 1:20 pm on May 22, a fire occurred at a company in Group 9, Tan Cang Quarter, Phuoc Tan Ward, Dong Nai City with a fire area of about 2,000m2, the main flammable material was foam and PE film.
When the incident was discovered, local forces used water and mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire but failed. A few minutes later, a column of black smoke billowed up tens of meters high, many people a few kilometers from the scene still could see it.
The area around the factory appeared with a strong burning smell, many workers shouted to move goods and ran out.
After that, the fire quickly engulfed the factory.
Upon receiving the news, Dong Nai Police dispatched many fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to put out the fire. Firefighters pulled water hoses to spray water from many directions to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent factories.
By about 2:30 PM, the fire was basically under control.
The fire did not cause any casualties, but the factory and many materials inside were burned down.
