According to initial information, at around 6:35 p.m., people discovered a fire breaking out in the area behind a car washing shop of more More than 2,000m2 wide, containing many flammable items such as gasoline, waste oil, old tires... along with strong windy weather, the fire quickly broke out and spread throughout this area.
The rising fire, along with dense black smoke, caused some nearby residents to panic and run outside.
Discovering the incident, the People's Committee, police, military forces... of Tan Phuoc ward quickly arrived to perform their duties, informing the Fire Prevention and Fighting Force.
About 10 minutes later, 6 fire trucks arrived at the scene to control the fire. Water trucks of Phu My Industrial Parks I, II, III and Urban Construction Company were also mobilized in a timely manner to supply water to put out the fire.

At around 8:15 p.m., the fire was controlled and completely extinguished, causing no human casualties. However, many properties including a level 4 pre-match house and a car oil washing machine were damaged.
Mr. Huynh Son Tuan - Secretary of Phu My City - said that as soon as receiving the information, the City Party Committee and People's Committee of Phu My City directed to quickly control the fire, ensuring safety for people in the area. Because there were many flammable items such as gasoline, waste oil, etc. in the area, it was quite difficult to control the fire.
"There were times when the fire seemed to have been extinguished but suddenly caught fire again, making it difficult to put out the fire. However, the fire prevention and fighting force did a very good job, quickly controlling the fire, not allowing it to spread to other areas, and then completely extinguishing it," said Mr. Tuan.
Currently, the authorities are verifying the cause of the fire, initially assessing the possibility of an electrical short circuit.
