On November 6, a fire broke out in a house in an alley on Bach Dang Street, Ward 5, Vung Tau City, causing casualties.
According to initial information, at around 3:40 a.m. on November 6, upon receiving the report, the authorities mobilized many vehicles to approach the scene to control and extinguish the fire. A total of 10 vehicles and 57 officers, soldiers, medical staff, electricians, etc. were mobilized to protect the scene and control the fire.
Upon arrival, the fire had engulfed the level 4 house, and the team had to break down the main door to enter the house and deploy the firefighting team to prevent the fire from spreading. By around 4:40 a.m., the fire was completely extinguished.
During the fire fighting process, the force discovered two victims who had died (initially suspected of smoke inhalation), including T.B.L (born in 2016) and T.B.K (born in 2008) and proceeded to bring them out. According to initial statements from relatives, the fire started in the electric bicycle charging area.
"Currently, the Ward People's Committee is coordinating with the authorities to block off the scene, verify the damage and clarify the cause of the fire," a leader of Ward 5 People's Committee informed.
Many people in the area said that the fire broke out at dawn and they did not know to help. It was only when the power went out and they heard the fire siren that they realized what had happened.
