Apartment fire in HCMC

HCMC - An apartment in Eratown - Duc Khai apartment building (District 7) caught fire at night, firefighters and rescue workers are actively putting out the fire.

As of 10 p.m. on November 2, District 7 authorities were still investigating the cause of the fire at the Eratown - Duc Khai apartment building in Phu My ward.

Initial information, at around 7:00 p.m., residents living in block A3 of Eratown apartment building, Phu My ward (District 7) discovered a fire breaking out in an apartment on the 31st floor.

Within minutes, the apartment was engulfed in smoke, with a column of smoke rising tens of meters high. Seeing the smoke, residents shouted, called the authorities, and then ran down to the ground floor.

The Fire Prevention and Fighting Police (PCCC) and the Rescue Department of District 7 Police dispatched many specialized vehicles and many soldiers to the scene. The firefighters divided into many directions to put out the fire and rescue people.

After a few minutes, the fire was under control, the police continued to spray water to cool it down to prevent the fire from spreading.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
