Speaking at the opening of the conference, Ms. Vu Thi Hien Hanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the Unity of the People to Build Cultural Life and Family Work of Lao Cai province - emphasized that the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" is a major campaign with profound political and social significance; contributing to building a healthy cultural environment, consolidating the great national unity bloc, improving the spiritual life and happiness index of the people; creating an important foundation for the sustainable development of the province.
In the 2021-2025 period, the Movement will be implemented in conjunction with all patriotic emulation movements in all areas of social life, creating clear changes in the material and spiritual life of the people, raising the happiness index of the people to 68.3%, an increase of more than 10% compared to 2020.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province Giang Thi Dung suggested that all levels and sectors continue to promote propaganda work, raise awareness of cadres, party members and people about the meaning and goals of the movement.
Identifying this as a regular, long-term task, playing an important role in building healthy people and cultural environment; improving the quality of movements in a practical, sustainable direction, avoiding formality.
On the other hand, pay attention to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic groups; strongly developing cultural, artistic, and sports activities at the grassroots level; promptly honor and spread advanced models, real people's stories, and real people about people who are silently contributing to the development of the locality and the community.
In the 2026-2030 period, Lao Cai province will continue to maintain and improve the quality and effectiveness of the movement "All people unite to build a healthy, rich and sustainable cultural life" contributing to building a healthy, rich and sustainable cultural life in the whole society.
Increase the participation of all classes of people, create positive changes in building and promoting the cultural and human strength of Lao Cai to become a driving force for socio-economic development; constantly improve cultural and spiritual life and happiness index for people.
The province strives to have a cultural family rate of 88.5% by 2030; the rate of villages and cultural groups reaches 80.5%; the happiness index of the people reaches 72%; 100% of communes and wards include lifestyle education and family values in the new era in the community values and conventions of residential areas; 100% of villages and residential groups have cultural houses to meet the living needs of the people; over 43.5% of people participate in regular physical exercise.
