Along the streets of Hanoi Capital, the atmosphere of preparation for the election of National Assembly deputies (NA deputies) of the 16th term and People's Council deputies (HĐND) at all levels for the 2026–2031 term is taking place urgently and excitedly. It is not only the busyness of the election teams, but also the excitement and anticipation crystallized from the belief and expectations of voters nationwide.
The prominent red color on the streets not only creates a fresh look for the Capital but also spreads a joyful atmosphere, towards the election day. Flags, banners, and propaganda panels are hung solemnly, creating a solemn but bustling atmosphere, ready for the great festival of the whole people. Many locations are historical and cultural relics arranged as places to list voters' lists and organize voting areas such as Kim Ngan communal house, house 48 Hang Ngang, Vu Thach temple...

At the polling stations, ballot boxes are cleaned and shiny, velvet curtains and partitions are meticulously prepared to ensure privacy for each sacred choice. But the most exciting atmosphere is actually in the areas listing voters' lists and candidate biographies.
It is not difficult to encounter groups of elderly people holding magnifying glasses, standing pensively reading each line of information, or groups of young people using phones to scan QR codes to look up the action programs of delegates on the VNeID application.
The excitement is not only expressed through words, but also clearly in the attentive eyes, in the lively debates at the coffee shop, in the morning tea corner about: "Who is really qualified to help the locality break through...".
For voters, preparing for March 15th is not just arranging voting time, but a process of preparing "mentality". Unlike previous terms, voters in 2026 have a more proactive and wise mindset. They no longer see voting as "paying off" obligations, but see it as a valuable opportunity to directly lay the foundation for building the future.
Veterans, even with poor eyesight, still meticulously write down the names of typical candidates in a small notebook. Or young workers in industrial parks, after work, discuss social housing policies that the candidates commit to. Everyone understands that the ballot in their hands is a power entrustment, a belief sent to a term of the 16th National Assembly - a term of historical transformations.
Voter Nguyen Thuy Nga (resident in Xuan Phuong ward (Hanoi) said that she is very honored and proud to be about to fulfill her sacred duty as a citizen. "I spent a lot of time learning about the candidates to choose those who are worthy of representing the People. In my opinion, the selected delegates must be truly dedicated and visionary to contribute to building an increasingly developed country" - Ms. Nga said.

The election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term takes place in the context of the 14th Party Congress just being successfully held, opening a new stage of development with great goals and strong aspirations for the nation's future.
In a democratic society, voting rights always come with civic responsibility. Each voter needs to carefully understand the action program, capacity, qualities and working process of candidates, thereby making an impartial and responsible choice.
On March 15, 2026, when voters across the country hold their ballots, it is a moment for each citizen to be more deeply aware of their role in the future of the country. From those ballots, from the belief and responsibility of each citizen, the strength of Vietnamese democracy will continue to be consolidated, so that the country can firmly step on the path of rapid, sustainable and prosperous development.
