On October 24, the Department of Transport of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province sent a document to the consulting consortium regarding a number of contents under the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, related to the design of the International Passenger Port in Vung Tau City.
According to the document, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed and directed to focus on studying the simple approach bridge plan with the main bridge adjusted to a curved shape, to increase the aesthetics of the project and be similar to the planning plan. Then, organize introductions and discussions with potential investors to serve as a basis for proposing to the Provincial leaders to consider and decide on investment.
Therefore, the consulting consortium (including PORTCOAST - TEDIPORT - HPEC) needs to quickly complete the "Pre-feasibility Study Report on Investment in Construction of Vung Tau International Passenger Port Project" according to the above plan; synchronously invest in the entire project and divide it into 2 specific phases. As well as clearly identify the elements of the sea encroachment area; propose contents based on current state laws...
Previously, the consulting consortium presented a total of 11 design options, with different square and curved approach bridge models. Each option had a total investment of between VND1,333 billion and VND8,000 billion for consideration by provincial leaders.
After holding a meeting and reaching consensus, the Provincial People's Committee directed to choose a design similar to option 4 to implement the above contents.
