At about 9:30 p.m. on November 2, at km 26+400 of National Highway 18 (Chi Linh Ward, Hai Phong City), a serious traffic accident occurred. A 16-seat passenger car driven by Mr. K.V.L (born in 1983, residing in Ha Bang commune, Hanoi) from Bac Ninh to Quang Ninh collided with a motorbike driven by Mr. N.Q.T (born in 2002, residing in Chi Linh ward) traveling in the opposite direction. As a result, Mr. T died on the spot. The preliminary cause was that Mr. T was driving on the wrong side of the road.
Previously, another traffic accident also occurred at around 6:35 p.m. the same day at km 73+600 of National Highway 5 (in front of Phu Thai Station) in Phu Thai Commune. A motorbike driven by L.T.A (born in 2008, residing in Son La province) traveling from Hanoi to Hai Phong collided with a motorbike driven by Mr. N.M.T (born in 1989, residing in Phu Thai commune) traveling in the opposite direction, turning left into Phu Thai station. Behind the car Mr. T was carrying his wife, Ms. L.T.L (born in 1989, same address). As a result, Mr. T died on the way to the emergency room, and Ms. L was injured.
The preliminary cause was that Mr. T was driving the motorbike in the wrong direction. Mr. A was driving a motorbike without reducing speed in the prescribed cases.
