According to information from Gia Vien Ward People's Committee, at about 22:50 on October 31, at the construction site No. 06B, Lot 30A, New Urban Area, Intersection 5 - Cat Bi Airport, a work accident occurred during construction.
Upon receiving the report, the People's Committee of Gia Vien Ward, Gia Vien Ward Police and other functional forces immediately arrived at the scene to fix the problem. The cause of the work accident was that during the construction process, concrete was poured on the 2nd floor, causing the floor to collapse, causing 2 workers to be stuck inside the project, Mr. D.D.H and Mr. P.V.D (from Cam Thuy restaurant, Thanh Hoa).
As a result, both workers died. In addition, another worker, Mr. L.T.Q (Hoa Binh ward, Hai Phong city) suffered injuries to his leg. After taking the victims out, the forces continued to work to fix the problem at the scene.
The People's Committee of Gia Vien Ward promptly visited and encouraged the victims' families. The case is still being handled by the authorities according to regulations.
