Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Steering Committee 389 Nguyen Kieu Oanh signed Decision No. 81/QD-BCD389/TP on the establishment of 2 interdisciplinary inspection teams to combat smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in Hanoi city.
According to this Decision, Hanoi City established 02 interdisciplinary inspection teams consisting of 26 members from the following forces: Market Management, City Police (PC03, PA04), Customs Branch of Region I, Hanoi Tax, Department of Health, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Science and Technology...
In which, Interdisciplinary Inspection Team No. 1 is chaired by Market Management Team No. 14, Interdisciplinary Inspection Team No. 2 is chaired by Market Management Team No. 17.
The two delegations were assigned to inspect and control 126 wards, communes and towns throughout the city from October 15, 2025 to December 15, 2025, with the form of surprise inspections.
Interdisciplinary inspection teams will comply with the content of Plan No. 78/KH-BCD389/TP, focusing on preventing the business of counterfeit goods, banned goods, poor quality goods, goods of unknown origin and commercial fraud, especially at the 2025 Autumn Fair held at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi) from October 25 to November 4, 2025.
At the same time, the delegations will strengthen inspection of compliance with legal regulations in production and business activities, such as: registration, business license, invoice and certificate, product labeling, quality, price, e-commerce activities and origin of goods.
Inspection activities aim to ensure legal discipline, prevent violations and create a healthy business environment, stabilize the commodity market at the end of the year.

Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Steering Committee 389 Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Kieu Oanh emphasized that this is a peak period of inspection and control of the city's important market in the last months of 2025.
"The inspection teams will seriously and in accordance with regulations, resolutely handle violations; at the same time, combine propaganda and guidance to raise awareness of law compliance in business activities, ensure harmony between management goals and create favorable conditions for businesses," Ms. Nguyen Kieu Oanh emphasized.
Mr. Duong Manh Hung - Deputy Head of the Hanoi Market Management Department, who directly directed the two interdisciplinary inspection teams, affirmed that the unit identified this as a key task in the peak period of market control at the end of the year.
According to Mr. Hung, the inspection teams will follow the correct process, be objective, public, and closely coordinate between forces to achieve the highest efficiency.
"The Hanoi Market Management Force is committed to strictly handling violations, preventing smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and poor quality goods, contributing to maintaining market stability, protecting consumer rights and the reputation of goods in the capital", Mr. Duong Manh Hung affirmed.
The results of the inspection and handling will be compiled by the Hanoi Market Management Department, advising the Department of Industry and Trade to report to the City Steering Committee 389 and the Hanoi People's Committee, as a basis for directing further measures in the work of preventing and stopping violations, ensuring market stability and safety of goods for the 2026 Lunar New Year.

Previously, according to the report at the Conference on evaluating work results in October and deploying tasks in November 2025, since the beginning of the year, the Hanoi Market Management Force has inspected and handled 4,263 cases, transferred 78 cases to the investigation agency, collected 90.57 billion VND to the State budget, reaching 125.71% of the target for the whole year 2025.
In October alone, the city's Market Management force inspected and handled 723 cases, transferred 21 cases to the investigation agency, and total revenue paid to the State budget was 12.6 billion VND.
In addition to professional work, the Hanoi Market Management Department has coordinated with 15 press, radio and television agencies to produce news, articles, and reports on the work of preventing and combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.
Communication activities have contributed to raising awareness of people and businesses in complying with the law, while spreading the positive image of the Capital Market Management force.
