According to information from the authorities, at around 10:00 p.m. on April 6, 2024, the hotline of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province received information from a group of about 14 tourists related to the service quality of the TALIYA CRUISE ship, license plate HP 6289. Accordingly, the group booked dinner on the TALIYA CRUISE ship in Europe 2 area, Tuan Chau Ship Port, Ha Long City with a self-service meal.
This group of guests bought services through the travel agent and transferred the service money of 13.5 million. However, after boarding this travel train, the delegation noticed that the services were not used as committed, the quality was not commensurate with the price, the lack of food, and the slow food. Therefore, the delegation was very urgent, filmed and called the hotline of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh Province.
After receiving the information, the Inspectorate of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism determined that this ship did not have to register in Quang Ninh and called the group to discuss directly to explain. At the same time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Document 561/SVHTTDL-QLLT dated April 7, 2025 to transfer information to Ha Long City for coordination in handling.
On the morning of April 7, the leaders of Ha Long City People's Committee directed the city's functional forces to grasp information and coordinate to verify and clarify the reflections of the delegation.
Through discussion and working with Quang Ninh Port Authority, Ha Long City determined that the TALIYA CRUISE ship registered for business in Hai Phong welcomed this group of tourists to Tuan Chau port and initially determined that the travel company provided advertising information and sold products to tourists for false information. After Ha Long City took action, the representative of the TALIYA CRUISE shipping company apologized to the group and refunded the money as requested by the group.
Currently, the authorities of Ha Long City are continuing to work to verify relevant information, including requesting the TALI CRUISE ship to provide contracts for all travel packages related to passengers on the ship in general and the contents related to the above group of passengers for handling according to regulations.
