On the afternoon of June 9, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province issued a document directing relevant units to strengthen inspection and surprise inspection of veterinary medicine and food safety for slaughterhouses; promptly rectify and strictly handle the slaughter of sick pigs and pigs that died due to epidemics and not be allowed to be controlled by veterinary staff according to regulations; stop operations of unlicensed slaughterhouses that do not ensure sanitary hygiene conditions, food safety, use of banned chemicals and additives in slaughter; strictly implement the slaughter control process at slaughterhouses prescribed in Circular No. 09/2016/TTBNNPTNT dated June 1, 2016 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on control and control of slaughter and hygiene.

The Chairman of Ca Mau also proposed to monitor animal diseases to detect early, promptly warn, and completely handle when new diseases are discovered, not allowing them to spread widely; promote the application of biosafety livestock measures, periodically organize hygiene, disinfection, and disinfection in high-risk livestock areas and old outbreaks; continue to build facilities and epidemic-free areas; strengthen inspection and supervision of cases of illegal buying, selling, transporting, and slaughtering animals, not ensuring requirements for disease prevention and food safety, and strictly handle violations.
