Over the past time, newspapers have published information reflecting that along many sections of the Day River flowing through the My Hoa bridge area bordering Phuc Son and Ung Thien communes, the river water has changed abnormally black, with white foam and a strong stench.
According to people's reflections, the main cause of the above situation stems from the fact that some production and business establishments illegally discharge wastewater.
Regarding this matter, the Chairman of Hanoi City People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of Phuc Son and Ung Thien communes to urgently inspect and clarify press information; strictly handle violations, causing environmental pollution, affecting people's lives (if any).
At the same time, report the implementation results to the City People's Committee.
