Regarding the case of a 7th grade female student at Ton Duc Thang Secondary School (Thong Nhat Ward, Gia Lai) being beaten by a group of friends in the school grounds, on December 4, the Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested the Chairman of the Thong Nhat Ward People's Committee to direct relevant units to urgently rectify and overcome the case of school violence; strictly discipline related individuals and groups.
The Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Education and Training and localities to direct educational institutions to strengthen propaganda and education on ethics, lifestyle, and life skills for students; deploy the contents of building "friendly schools - active students"; promulgate and strictly implement the code of conduct in schools, with strict disciplinary measures for violations.

Strengthen the responsibility of managers, teachers, and staff in management, detecting and promptly preventing school violence; coordinate with parents, regularly exchanging to grasp the thoughts and psychological developments of students and have effective educational measures.
The Provincial Police are responsible for directing affiliated units to investigate and strictly handle acts of school violence.
As Lao Dong reported, on November 28, class 7/1 had Physical Education class at 1:50 p.m. However, some students arrived at class earlier than class time, at 5:15 p.m., and a fight broke out during this time. In which, two students T.T.P and T.N.H.T beat D.T.N.T, all three of whom were classmates.
The incident was filmed by other students. After that, the parents of the beaten student posted the clip on Facebook.
At 3:30 p.m. the same day, the school invited the homeroom teacher of class 7/1 and the parents of the three students involved to work, and asked the students to write a report on the incident.
The reason for the fight was due to a conflict over D.T.N.T borrowing a painting in Fine Arts from P. but making it lost and not finding it to return.
After the meeting, the parents of the children agreed to sign a record, coordinate with the school in reminding, educating, and managing students. Parents of P. and T.N.H.T agreed with the homeroom teacher to visit and apologize to D.T.N.T.
For students who witnessed the incident but did not prevent or report it to the teachers, the school asked them to write a report and notify their parents to coordinate education and management.
On the morning of December 1, D.T.N.T did not come to class, so the homeroom teacher contacted him to encourage him to go to school but could not contact his parents. On the same afternoon, D.T.N.T's parents contacted the school to discuss their wishes to transfer their child to another school.
