On August 12, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province held a regular meeting for July 2025. According to the Provincial People's Committee, in the first month of implementing the new model, industrial production activities continued to recover; most of the main products increased quite well compared to the same period; the industrial production index is estimated to increase by 3.93% compared to the previous month.
Trade and service activities are bustling; total retail sales of goods, revenue from consumer services, transportation - warehousing, and tourism all increased. Disease prevention and control, medical examination and treatment for the people have been effectively implemented. The arrangement of the apparatus and staff streamlining have achieved results; social security has been given attention; national defense - security, social order and safety have been maintained.
However, there are still limitations such as: budget revenue and export turnover decreased compared to the same period; African swine fever broke out and spread widely; facilities and equipment in some localities have not met requirements; lack of specialized human resources; some public administrative services are still limited.
The People's Committee of Quang Ngai province requires sectors and localities to closely follow the direction of the Government, ministries, branches and the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee; closely monitor the activities of the two-level government; implement 28 decrees on decentralization and delegation of power; promptly remove difficulties; overcome telecommunications bottlenecks, ensure smooth operation of the apparatus.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province - said that July 2025 is the first month of implementing the two-level local government model after the merger of provinces, achieving many positive results but only the beginning. All levels and sectors need to continue to promote to build a streamlined apparatus, operating effectively and efficiently, sticking with work, and best serving people and businesses.
Regarding the disbursement of public investment capital, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang requested that by the end of 2025, 100% of public investment capital must be disbursed: "The disbursement of public investment capital by July 2025 will reach nearly 60%. In addition to achieving budget revenue, we also have to meet the need for public investment disbursement. Therefore, key programs and projects need to be focused on implementation" - Mr. Giang emphasized.
