According to voters' reflections in Ba Vi commune, Quang Ngai province, many allowances for people with meritorious services, social protection beneficiaries and other policy groups are currently implemented through bank accounts. Meanwhile, the banking service infrastructure in the locality still does not meet actual needs.
Statistics from Ba Vi Commune People's Committee show that currently the whole commune has 678 beneficiaries of regimes and policies with a total expenditure of more than 1.36 billion VND per month. Of which, 348 people receive allowances through bank accounts, with a total amount of more than 680 million VND. The group of people with meritorious services alone has 147 people receiving allowances through accounts; the group of social protection beneficiaries has 201 people.

Although the number of people receiving allowances through accounts is quite large, Ba Vi commune still does not have an ATM to serve transaction needs. Therefore, hundreds of people have to regularly travel from 20 - 35 km to withdraw allowance money.
At voter meetings, people repeatedly petitioned functional agencies and the banking industry to pay attention to surveying and considering installing ATMs in the area or have appropriate solutions to create more favorable conditions for people to access subsidies.
Mr. Thanh Minh Thuan - Chairman of Ba Vi Commune People's Committee - said that the locality hopes that commercial banks will pay attention to surveying and soon investing in ATMs in the central area of the commune so that people no longer have to travel dozens of kilometers every time they receive subsidies or make bank transactions.
