According to the roadmap, the first sample handover will take place from June 19 to June 26, the second handover on July 3 to transfer to functional agencies to serve DNA testing.

In the discussion section, departments, branches, units and localities focused on exchanging contents related to coordination, preservation of biological samples, updating information and organizing implementation at cemeteries, to ensure that the sampling process takes place tightly, scientifically and solemnly.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Le Quang Luat emphasized that taking samples to identify martyrs' remains is a particularly important task, contributing to gradually identifying martyrs who lack information, meeting the aspirations of martyrs' relatives. At the same time, this is also an activity that expresses the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", the responsibility and deep gratitude of the Party, State, Army and People towards heroic martyrs.

According to the plan, from June 2026 to the end of the first quarter of 2027, Ca Mau province will take biological samples for 3,882 unidentified martyrs' graves at 11 martyrs' cemeteries in the province, including 2 cemeteries managed by the province and 9 cemeteries managed by communes.
