According to the report of the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa province as of August 2025, the Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Project 1 and 2 has been allocated VND 3,236 billion, according to the province's proposal and the direction of the Prime Minister.
Currently, the Ministry of Finance is continuing to consider allocating additional capital to ensure compliance with regulations.

Regarding the results of site clearance work to date, the total area subject to recovery of the two projects according to current reality is 1,130.14ha/1,153 households, with a total of 5,229 people.
The total area of the 2 Factory Rehabilitation Areas is 119.25ha, the Renovated Residential Area is 13.4ha, the cemetery area is 22.27ha, the pumping station area is 0.59ha, the Rural Resettlement Area is 159.6ha.
Investors EVN and PVN are currently in the process of negotiating with partners.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa province, the pre-feasibility study report for the Ninh Thuan 1 Nuclear Power Plant project is expected to be completed by September 2025; the Ninh Thuan 1 Nuclear Power Plant project is expected to be completed by June 2026.
Currently, the specific progress of the nuclear power project will be implemented according to the overall plan and the decision of the Prime Minister on the basis of ensuring full technical, safety, financial and human resource requirements.
The expected timelines (such as the completion target by the end of 2030-2031 or the possibility of implementation in the 2035-2038 period) will be flexibly adjusted depending on the actual implementation situation.
In addition, the time frame also depends on the coordination of relevant parties and the results of preparation of infrastructure, human resources, and technology items.
The highest goal is to ensure the safety, efficiency and quality of the project; therefore, the progress will be reviewed, regularly updated and announced when there is official information from the competent authority.
