On July 21, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Construction Investment Management Board said that the compensation, support and resettlement work for people at the two nuclear power plant projects (NMDHN) Ninh Thuan 1 and Ninh Thuan 2 has basically completed the inventory, measurement and appraisal of land records, as a basis for the next steps.
At the Ninh Thuan 1 human resource and resettlement project, the factory area (409.53ha) and the resettlement area (64.85ha) have completed the inventory of 100% of households and related organizations; specific land prices have been approved, the measurement records have been appraised by the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
For Ninh Thuan 2 processing center, the factory area (404.5ha), the resettlement area (54.4ha) and the existing residential area (13.43ha) have also completed the inventory, approval of land prices and appraisal of survey maps.
In particular, the relocation of nearly 3,000 graves is still facing difficulties because the relatives of more than 1,000 graves have not been identified.
The Ninh Thuan nuclear power project is a national key project with a large scale of land acquisition, affecting thousands of households.
The People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province (before the merger) has proposed that the Government allocate about VND3,200 billion to implement the construction of resettlement areas, residential areas and site clearance.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee is currently giving strong instructions, striving to complete site clearance in 2025 in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister.
