On February 4, functional forces of Long Truong ward (Ho Chi Minh City Police) coordinated with Highway Traffic Patrol Team No. 6 (Team 6), Room 6 - Traffic Police Department to conduct scene examination and investigate the cause of the accident.

According to initial information, at about 4:16 am on the same day, a tractor-trailer driven by driver N.V.K (resident of Lam Dong province) was traveling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway in the direction from Dong Nai to Ho Chi Minh City. When reaching km06+500, the section passing through Long Truong ward (Ho Chi Minh City), the tractor-trailer collided with a truck driven by driver T.M.T.
Immediately after that, another truck with license plate 72C... (driver's identity unknown) continued to crash into the rear of the truck driven by driver T.M. T, creating a chain collision.
The strong collision caused the driver of the truck with license plate 72C to be trapped in the cabin and die, all vehicles were heavily damaged in the front and rear.
Upon receiving the news, Traffic Police Team No. 8 (Team 6) on duty on the route quickly arrived at the scene, organized to protect the scene, regulate and divert traffic, preventing congestion on the expressway.
Traffic police conducted an alcohol and drug testing of two related drivers, and the results showed no violations.
The case has been reported to the Investigation Police Agency of Ho Chi Minh City Police; Long Truong Ward Police are continuing to handle, investigate and handle according to regulations.
