On February 5, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Tri Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and apply a ban on leaving the place of residence for Nguyen Minh Thao (born 1977), Vo Phi Long (born 1989), both residing in Truong Ninh commune, Quang Tri province and Tran Dinh Duong (born 1989, residing in Lien Chieu ward, Da Nang city) for the act of "Disturbing public order".
According to initial investigation results, on the evening of January 8, 2026, Ms. T.T. B (residing in Ninh Chau commune, Quang Tri province) came to her husband's room at the sand gathering yard in Phu Loc village, Ninh Chau commune.
Here, the above group of subjects rushed in to curse, raise their voices, use phones to record videos, obstruct the business of construction materials, causing bad effects on the local security and order situation.
Notably, during the incident, the subjects also had violent behavior towards Ms. T.T. B when she was 8 months pregnant.
During the verification process, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Tri Provincial Police determined that the group of subjects had specific role assignments such as video cameramen, people obstructing sand trucks, people looking for sand trading records, showing signs of organized acts.
Regarding Ms. T.T. B's report of losing 80 million VND at the time of the incident, the investigating agency said that through scene examination and investigation experiments, it was determined that there was no money loss.
This amount of money was borrowed by Ms. T.T. B from relatives and placed in the trunk of her personal motorbike. Due to panic, she mistakenly thought it was lost.
On January 16, 2026, Ms. T.T. B's family rediscovered the above amount of money in the motorbike's trunk.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Tri Provincial Police is continuing to consolidate the file, investigate, and handle the case in accordance with legal regulations.
